Cerebral Palsy Care at Home
Nurse-led cerebral palsy home care follows individual assessments. Staffed care teams assist with mobility, communication and daily life. Support reflects each person's care plan and clinical needs.
Cerebral Palsy, Home Care
Cerebral palsy affects everyone differently, and care requirements can vary considerably from person to person. Individual assessments, with input from experienced ITU nurses, help determine the level of clinical and practical support needed at home.
Care may include assistance with mobility and transfers, personal care, medication, eating and drinking, and overnight support. Dedicated care teams receive face-to-face, in-house training tailored to individual needs, with care plans regularly reviewed and adapted as circumstances change.

Understanding Cerebral Palsy and the Care You May Need
Cerebral palsy affects everyone differently. Explore how it can impact everyday life and discover how personalised care and support can help you live more independently.
Illustrative guide, not a clinical assessment. The figure is symbolic; care should reflect individual needs and choices.
Understanding movement
Cerebral palsy affects movement and posture. Muscle stiffness, involuntary movements or difficulties with balance and coordination can affect everyday activities in different ways.
- Walking, reaching or changing position may need extra time or assistance.
- Some people walk independently; others use mobility aids or a wheelchair.
- Support needs should be reviewed as circumstances change.
Independence includes having choice and control, even when you need support.
